BISMARCK, ND - The Gateway to Health event will take place Saturday, Aug. 26 Community participants will have FREE access to the North Dakota Gateway to Science exhibits for their registered two-hour time slot and access to interactive health booths and exhibitors. IMPORTANT: attendees must be preregistered to attend the event.
Speakers will include Miss North Dakota Sydney Helgeson, Pat Bertagnolli from Job Service, and a representative from Gov. Doug Burgum’s office.
There will be exciting exhibitor booths; a virtual reality headset demonstration from Job Service, UND’s Simulation Truck will be outside, multiple North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) program booths with games and prizes, Great Plains Food Bank, Family Wellness of Bismarck-Mandan, Bismarck Aero simulators, BSC Emergency Medical Services ambulance, the Bismarck Larks Community FUNd, and more. There will be food trucks and interaction from community partners throughout the Gateway to Health event.
Every attendee will receive back-to-school items, prizes for participating in exhibitor booth games, and drawings for some amazing door prizes. There will be an opportunity for parents, guardians, grandparents, and caregivers to participate in discussion rooms on topics relevant to their youth’s overall health and be given tools to discuss them with their youth. These sessions will include topics such as financial health, physical health (nutrition and exercise), behavioral health and more.

Participants can select a two-hour time slot to attend and request tickets. Upon arrival at Gateway to Science, ticket bands will be given away at the registration desk. Time slots will be 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., 12 p.m. – 2 p.m., or 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
