HHS seeks public comment on ND Medicaid Quality Strategy

BISMARCK, ND - North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking public comment from members, providers, tribal partners, stakeholders and other interested individuals on a draft of the 2025-2027 North Dakota Medicaid Quality Strategy.

The three-year plan provides a summary of the work being done to assess, monitor and improve the quality of care and services provided by the state’s Medicaid programs to support and strengthen members’ overall health and well-being.

“This strategy supports the agency’s overall vision to make North Dakota the healthiest state in the nation,” said HHS Medical Services Division Director Sarah Aker. “It’s the framework we use to measure our Medicaid programs against federal quality standards with the goal to improve health outcomes for our members.”

The draft quality strategy is available online at hhs.nd.gov/healthcare/medicaid/publications. Copies are available upon request.

Written comments will be accepted until noon, CT on Monday, Dec. 30, 2024. They can be sent by mail to North Dakota Health and Human Services, Medical Services Division, Attn: Jared Ferguson, 600 E. Blvd. Ave., Dept. 325, Bismarck, ND, 58505-0250, by email jadferguson@nd.gov, by fax (701) 328-1544, or by phone (701) 328-2321, toll-free (800) 755-2604, 711 (TTY).

Once the comment period ends, HHS will submit its final strategy to the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for their review and feedback.
