Public comment period opens for North Dakota State Council on Developmental Disabilities proposed five-year state plan

BISMARCK, ND (FEBRUARY 6, 2026) - The North Dakota State Council on Developmental Disabilities is seeking public comment on its proposed five-year state plan for 2027-2031. The plan outlines the council’s goals, objectives and strategies to improve the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families across North Dakota. Public comments will be accepted from Feb. 5-March 21, 2026.

The proposed five-year state plan is available at nd.gov/scdd, under the publications and reports tab. Copies can be mailed upon request.

Comments can be submitted by Google Forms at hhsnd.site/dd-council-state-plan, mail to North Dakota Health and Human Services – Developmental Disabilities Section, Attn: DD Council/Julie Horntvedt, 600 E.
