HHS hosts stakeholder meetings Sept. 14 and 21 to gather input on recommendations in recent behavioral health consultant’s report

BISMARCK, N.D. – North Dakota’s Health and Human Services (HHS) agency is hosting two in-person and two virtual stakeholder meetings Wednesday, Sept. 14 and Wednesday, Sept. 21 to gather public feedback on several recommendations outlined in the recent Renee Schulte Consulting final report.

The meetings will focus on gathering input on acute psychiatric hospitalization, crisis stabilization and services for older adults with co-occurring medical, behavioral and dementia-related illnesses, also known as gero-psychiatric services, which are offered at the North Dakota State Hospital, critical access hospitals and other provider facilities.

How to participate

Interested stakeholders can attend in-person meetings on Sept. 14 in conference room 327B, on the third floor of the Judicial Wing, State Capitol in Bismarck. Acute hospitalization and crisis stabilization services recommendations will be discussed from 2 to 3:30 p.m. CT and gero-psychiatric services recommendations will be discussed from 4 to 5:30 p.m. CT.

On Sept. 21, stakeholders can participate in virtual meetings by Microsoft Teams from computers and mobile devices or by telephone at (701) 328-0950, Conference ID 725 812 380#. Acute hospitalization and crisis stabilization services recommendations will be discussed from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. CT and gero-psychiatric services recommendations will be discussed from 1 to 2:30 p.m. CT.
